The Coins Cabinet virtual creation allows to compensate the current absence of numismatic sections in the exhibition; the consultation of the whole coins and medals collection through computer stations is an outstanding and simple instrument for the heritage knowledge, usable by scholars and visitors.
The Museum’s Numismatic Collection comprises about 95,000 specimens, including coins, medals and coinages and is characterized as one of the museum’s most significant holdings and one of the most important numismatic collections of the country.
