Silver denarius of Traianus

On the obverse appears a splendid portrait of Marcus Ulpius Trajan, emperor from 98 to 117 AD. On this silver denarius the image is accompanied by a titling: DACICVS, honorary nickname referring to his military conquests in Dacia, which became a Roman province.

The legend on the obverse refers to the emperor's name and his titles and continues on the reverse with also the name of Optimus Princeps. On that side there is also the roman  personification of Aeternitas, standing on the left, with Sun and Moon's heads.
