The Civic Museums of Bologna
The Civic Museums of Bologna recount, through their collections, the entire history of the metropolitan area of Bologna, from the first prehistoric settlements to the artistic, economic, scientific and industrial dynamics of contemporary society.
A unique journey through the territory, organized by topics.
Archeology, history, art, music, industrial heritage and technological culture are the major issues that are addressed, through both the individual locations and the thematic connections between them.
The following museums are part of the Civic Museums of Bologna: MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna, Museo Morandi and Casa Morandi, Museo per la Memoria di Ustica, Museo Civico Archeologico, Museo Civico Medievale, Collezioni Comunali d'Arte, Museo Civico d'Arte Industriale e Galleria Davia Bargellini, Museo del Tessuto e della Tappezzeria "Vittorio Zironi", Museo del Patrimonio Industriale, Museo e Biblioteca del Risorgimento, Museo internazionale e biblioteca della musica di Bologna and Villa delle Rose, dedicated by MAMbo to temporary exhibitions.
Services
The Civic Museums of Bologna offer a series of public services, including guided tours, workshops, thematic courses, training and orientation programs and itineraries for the sight-impaired.
For younger visitors, there are guided tours, workshops and educational games geared specially for them.
Several different programs are available to public or private schools of any level, including guided tours, edutainment, laboratory sessions and workshops.
Museum spaces are available for those wishing to reserve them for private events.
Access is also provided to the photography collections of the various museums.
